QT Hotel at 8 Phillip Street, Parramatta

We congratulate the team at Coronation Properties on the approval of their new hotel (full) licence and corresponding minors area authorisation (MAA) applications in Parramatta along the hospitality precinct in Phillip Street Parramatta.

The approval forms part of the 8 Phillip Street project, which will offer 314 apartments, a public piazza and 250 rooms as part of the QT Hotel.  The brand-new hotel liquor licence at the mixed-use tower signals a new era of vibrancy for Parramatta, and follows a suite of similar results delivered by our Licensing team for clients in both in the city and wider Western Sydney with restaurants, hotels and stadiums.

In addition to the broad capabilities of a full hotel licence, including the sale of takeaway alcohol, operation of gaming machines and provision of entertainment, the approval also carries an MAA to support  a family friendly atmosphere.

Given the potential high impact nature of the proposal, the application process involved the preparation and submission of an extensive Statement of Risks and Potential Effects (SoRPE) to the NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority (ILGA)which articulated and analysed the harm minimisation and public benefits to the local community amongst other matters.

If you wish to apply for your own hotel liquor licence, endorse your licence with an MAA or other authorisation, or have any other licensing enquiries, please email licensing@bsvliquorlicence.com.auor call (02) 8530 0333. To submit an enquiry directly to the Licensing team, please click here.
