Grand Café, Chifley Square

BSV is pleased to announce the successful approval of anon-premises (restaurant and catering service) licence endorsed with a primary service authorisation (PSA) for Grand Café within Chifley Square below Chifley Tower.

For a precinct as vibrant and busy as Chifley Square, it was crucial that Grand Café obtain the above type of licence with the PSA so it could meet the expectations of its patrons.

The PSA permits the Grand Café to serve liquor to customers without the requirement of consuming a genuine meal at the restaurant.  This enables Grand Café to offer its selection of home-grown wines and array of creative cocktails in a more relaxed and comfortable environment without the need for alcohol to be served along side a meal.

The approval allows the restaurant to open in time for the construction of Chifley South Tower which will increase the Chifley Precinct’s capacity to accommodate over 8,000 jobs, on top of capacity for further retail, hospitality and other businesses within the new seven-story podium under the South Tower, upon a 6438sqm site. Grand Café can now provide a more holistic dining option to its customers and meet the intense demand of Sydney’s financial district’s foot traffic. Its liquor licence permits it to deliver a rounded menu of food and liquor in keeping with modern day expectations of its customers.
