Epiq Tavern, Lennox Head

We were very happy to have assisted Epiq Tavern in their application for a hotel (full) licence which was recently granted by NSWL&G. Epiq Tavern is a new hotel which is under construction in the beachfront coastal village of Lennox head in New South Wales Northern Rivers coast. The location is famous for its spectacular views, National Surfing Reserve, and its retail and food precinct.

In assisting Epiq Tavern’s application for a hotel (full) licence we prepared a Liquor Plan of Management for use at the premises. This is required in order to comply with the Department of NSWL&G’s requirements for the responsible service of alcohol. We also prepared a detailed Statement of Risks and Potential Effects that was lodged with the hotel application. This relatively new process and supporting documentation outlined the key details and social impact analysis necessary for the determination of the application. In particular it was critical in demonstrating that the overall social impact of opening and operation of the Epiq Tavern will be positive.

As part of this application, we also assisted Epiq Tavern in acquiring a minors area authorisation. This authorisation allows children under the age of 18 to attend certain parts of the premises, enabling Epiq Tavern to achieve their intended focus to provide facilities in a family friendly environment on their premises.
