BWS Barangaroo
BWS will soon open its doors for a store in Barangaroo, the heart of the CBD.
We are once again happy to have assisted the Endeavour Group Limited in successfully applying for a packaged liquor licence (PLL) for a BWS in Barangaroo which was granted by the NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority (ILGA).
Due to Barangaroo’s location, situated in the middle of the CBD, ILGA was particularly concerned about the alcohol-related risk posed by the PLL due to its high accessibility. However, we were able to assist Endeavour Group Limited in demonstrating the positive effect the PLL would provide to the local and broader community by compiling a Statement of Risks and Potential Effects (SoRPE)which included relevant crime and community data. This facilitated the approval of the application by ILGA and allowed for Endeavour Group Limited to establish their new outlet.
We also assisted Endeavour Group by delivering notices of the application to all neighbouring premises within Barangaroo and all stakeholders to the application as mandated by government regulations.
