BSV Liquor and Gaming are pleased to have assisted Endeavour Group Limited in the successful removal of one of their existing packaged liquor licences to a new development site inside a proposed neighbourhood shopping centre in Gables. Removal applications occur when the applicant ceases to trade in one location but wishes to utalise its liquor licence in another location.  In those circumstances an applicant can apply to the NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority (ILGA) to transfer their packaged liquor licence from one site to another.  The steps in the removal of the licence requires the preparation of the more complex Category B Community Impact Statement (Cat B CIS), which necessitates the help of an experienced and efficient advisor to ensure the best chance of success before the ILGA.

As a bottle shop comprising part of a larger neighbourhood shopping centre for a newly developed housing community in Gables, it was vital that the licensing process did not inhibit the process of securing the tenancy or fit-out as the centre comes together. BSV’s valuable experience in preparing a Cat B CIS afforded confidence to Endeavour Group, and ensured timely approval to deliver a modern BWS bottle shop to service this exciting new community development in Gables.
