With a planned launch for mid-2024 the business’ tap-room site at St Peters will offer a unique and premium offering.
We are delighted to have worked with Chuck & Son’s Brewing Co to deliver approval of their producer/wholesaler licence application endorsed with a drink on-premises authorisation. The emergent brewer will deliver an exceptional craft brewery offering to individual and commercial customers.
With a planned launch for mid-2024 the business’ tap-room site at St Peters will offer a unique and premium offering that caters to both lovers and experts of craft beer and is designed to host live bands, events, tours and tastings to create an immersive retail experience right in the heart of their brewery set-up.
BSV’s tacit understanding of the start-up’s needs and challenges overcame some unexpected hurdles throughout the application process before NSW Liquor & Gaming, which brought the business’ liquor licence in line with its business model as a vital milestone during its outset. Importantly, the approval enables Chuck & Son’s to operate a ‘dual’ business model of wholesale and tap-room retail for consumption on and off their premises.
With over 50 years of brewing experience, founder and legendary “Godfather of Australian craft beer”, Chuck Hahn is one of the most respected Australian and U.S. brewers, having pioneered Coors Light, James Squire, Kosciuszko and, of course, Hahn, among other brands. This approval ensures Chuck and his son Scott are afforded regulatory consent to launch their start-up brewery with confidence in a broad licensing sense. The approval permits the business to offer craft beer via wholesale to pubs, clubs and hotels as well as a range of retail liquor stores and bottle-shops. The licence therefore enables Chuck & Son’s to share the commercial segment of the craft beer market and affords greater operational security through a diverse customer base in the start-up’s early stages. Importantly, the licence’s wide scope also gives Chuck & Son’s the capacity to sell all types of liquor product for consumption on the premises and their unique craft beer as packaged liquor, to take away from the St Peters store and via online sales.
BSV’s licensing team have the requisite experience in ensuring a new business’ liquor licence is beneficial to the expansion process.
